Global connectivity leader TE Connectivity has just launched its next-generation automotive Ethernet connector, the MATEnet 2.0 series, supporting data transmission speeds exceeding 10Gbps to meet the massive real-time data demands of autonomous driving.
Featuring an innovative shielding design and compact packaging technology, this new series is 30% smaller than its predecessor while delivering superior EMC anti-interference performance. TE Connectivity confirms that MATEnet 2.0 has already been selected by multiple major automakers, with mass production and vehicle integration expected by 2025.
As the penetration rate of smart and connected vehicles continues to rise, automotive Ethernet connectors are emerging as one of the fastest-growing segments in the industry, boasting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of over 25%.
